Product images and supporting information

A product record holds more than a code and a price. Images and supporting detail make products findable for your staff, and are what feed your online channels.

Images

The product record carries an Image field with an Upload Image action, in the General section alongside Barcode, Name, Colour, Size, Brand and Full Description.

Use PNG or JPG.

Turbo shows one image per product — the one marked as the default. That is the image you see in Turbo, and the only one you can update through the web screens.

A product can still hold more than one image behind the scenes. This normally happens when images come in from a sales channel such as Shopify or WooCommerce: the product's main image is marked as default and the rest are stored but not displayed anywhere in Turbo.

So if a product looks like it's missing images you know exist online, they aren't lost — Turbo is showing you the default and holding the others. Change the picture by uploading a new one against the default, not by hunting for the imported set.

Why it's worth doing properly

Categories drive your reporting and your nominal mapping. Brands and attributes drive search — for your staff at the counter and, where you sell online, for your customers. A product record with an image, a category, a brand and a bin location is one that gets found, sold and picked correctly.
