In Turbo Inventory, you can merge one customer into another to streamline your customer list and eliminate duplicate records. This process will transfer all the relevant customer information, including invoices, payments, equipment, and contacts, into the selected customer account.
1. Navigate to the Customers Section
Go to the Customers menu and select List to view all your customer records.
2. Open the Merge Customers Option
In the top right corner of the Customer List screen, click on the drop-down arrow.
From the options, select Merge Customers.
3. Select the Customer to Merge
The Merge This Customer section will show the customer you want to merge. This is typically the customer you wish to "delete" or merge into another account.
Choose the customer you wish to merge. For example, you might want to merge the details of Customer 1 into Customer 2.
4. Select the Target Customer
Now, select the customer who will receive all the merged details. For instance, you might choose Darren as the target customer.
5. Review and Confirm the Merge
Once you've selected the customers to merge, Turbo Inventory will load all related information, including invoices, payments, vehicles, customer equipment, and contacts associated with the selected customer.
If everything looks good, click Merge and Update to complete the process.
6. Completed Merge
Once the merge is complete, all the data from the first customer will be transferred into the second customer’s account. This includes any associated invoices, payments, equipment, and contact details.
The original customer will be merged into the target account, and the information will now be consolidated under the selected customer.
Conclusion
Merging customers in Turbo Inventory is a quick and easy way to keep your customer list organized and eliminate duplicates. By following these steps, you can seamlessly transfer all relevant information from one customer account to another.
