How To perform a Stock Count (Stock Take)

Modified on Wed, 26 Mar at 11:38 AM

The perfect option for a manual count!

Turbo Inventory Stock Counts allow you to update quantities for multiple items at once, see any discrepancies, and keep a clear  record of that specific count, both before and after.

NOTE
: Stock Counts are recommended for a maximum of 10,000 items at a time. It is recommended to perform larger counts across multiple Stock Counts.

Creating a Stock Count

  1. Head onto the left-hand Navigation Bar and click Warehouse
  2. Click the Stock Count
  3. You can either begin scanning the Product Barcodes or use the Search option to select the products
  4. Enter the Count Quantity for each product
    • Also enter the Batch Number if it is a batch tracked product
  5. You can enter a Narrative if required
  6. Once you are done click Complete and a new report will be presented with all the details for the Stock Count

Counting Batch Products

If you are using Batch Numbers for Products you will also need to add the Batch Number for each batch of the product that you wish to count. For example, if you have 3 batches of a product that you wish to count you will need to scan or search the product barcode 3 times in order to add the a stock count line for each of the 3 batches

Things to keep in mind:
  • Completing a Stock Count will overwrite the current inventory quantities.
  • The Stock Count screen will NOT update as products sell or are delivered. It's best to start and complete a Stock Count all in one go while the products being counted are not selling or being delivered.
    • It is strongly recommended that Stock Counts be completed during off-hours to keep sales and purchases from interfering with product quantities.
