Turbo Inventory integrates with QuickBooks Online to help you streamline your accounting and financial management. This guide will walk you through the steps to connect QuickBooks Online to Turbo Inventory, whether you're using the Sandbox or Live connection mode.
1. Access QuickBooks Online Integration
In Turbo Inventory, go to Apps in the main menu.
Scroll down and find QuickBooks Online.
Click on Manage to begin the setup process.
2. Enter Your Client ID and Client Secret
If your Client ID and Client Secret are not provided, you can reach out to the Turbo Inventory Support Desk to obtain them, or if you already have them, enter them directly in the integration settings.
3. Choose the Connection Mode
There are two connection modes available: Live and Sandbox.
If you're setting up QuickBooks for testing or development purposes, choose Sandbox.
For live transactions, select Live mode.
In this guide, we’ll use Sandbox mode.
4. Authorize the Connection
Once you’ve selected your connection mode, click Authorize.
This will redirect you to the QuickBooks Online login page.
If you are already logged in to QuickBooks, the system will proceed; if not, you will be asked to log in to your QuickBooks account.
After logging in, select the QuickBooks company you want to connect to and click Next.
5. Perform a Sync
After you have connected your QuickBooks account, return to Turbo Inventory.
Click on Perform a Sync to finalize the setup. This will sync your QuickBooks Online account with Turbo Inventory and set everything up accordingly.
6. Additional Settings
After performing the sync, additional settings will be available:
Map your VAT Codes: This will allow you to map your VAT codes between QuickBooks and Turbo Inventory.
Map your Departments: If you use departments in QuickBooks, you can map them here as well.
Map your Bank Account: Link your bank account to QuickBooks for easier transaction tracking.
7. Switching from Sandbox to Live Mode
If you’ve set up QuickBooks in Sandbox mode and want to switch to Live mode, you will need to deauthorize the connection:
In the QuickBooks Online integration settings, click Deauthorize.
This will remove all settings for the Sandbox mode and allow you to authorize a connection in Live mode.
