Shopify offers businesses everything they need to get started immediately after signing up. It has an extensive design features that allow users to construct their online channel - from the look of their website to inventory management. It is simple to use, but it also has features for advanced designers, such as access to CSS and HTML files.
Note: Only products with a SKU or Barcode in Shopify will be imported into Turbo Inventory. |
Creating a Custom App in Shopify
- Log in to your Shopify account and select Settings from the sidebar.
- Select Apps and sales channels from the sidebar.
- Select Develop apps.
- If required, Select the Allow custom app development button.
- Select the Create an app button.
- Enter the following details and select the Create app button.
- App name: Turbo Inventory
- App developer: Your email address
- Select the Configure Admin API scopes button.
- Make sure the following Permissions are Set to 'Read & Write'.
- Customer details and customer groups
- Orders, transactions and fulfillments
- Price rules
- Product information
- Inventory
- Products, variants and collections
- Shipping rates, countries and provinces
- Select the Install app button. You may need to refresh the page first.
- Select the Install button.
- Select API credentials.
- Reveal the following and copy them to a safe place.
- Admin API access token
- API key
- API secret key - Begins with SHPAT
Adding the Shopify Connection Settings in Turbo
To start adding the connection settings:
- Go to Settings & tools -> Business Identity ->Business Details -> Sales Channels -> + Add New Sales Channel
- In the Add a Sales Channel screen, ensure 'Store Type' is Shopify and then enter the details from Shopify
- API Key
- Password
- This is the API secret key from Shopify
- URL
- Enter a Last Order ID, if required.
- Click Create
- The page will refresh and you will see the new sales channel added into Turbo Inventory
Syncing Products
- On the left hand menu click Settings & tools -> Control Panel -> Advanced
- In the Advanced Settings screen, for Sales Channel -> Collect Catalog, click Start Task
