Overview

Turbo Inventory provides a powerful Product File Import tool designed to streamline the setup and management of your product data. Whether you're adding new products, updating existing details, or importing barcodes, this feature enables bulk updates via pre-formatted import files.

What You Can Import

Turbo supports a variety of product-related imports. Each import has a unique file code and name, which matches the template you'll receive from the Big Red Cloud team.

Examples include:

• 06 – Products: Full product setup

• 27 – Product Barcodes: Barcode entries

Where to Find the Import Tool

You can initiate imports from relevant sections such as:

• Stock → Products

• Customers → List
  (Other sections may also contain import tools depending on data type)

Look for the "Imports" button on the screen.

?Step-by-Step: How to Import Products

1. Go to Stock → Products

Click the "Imports" option at the top of the product list screen.

2. Select the Import File Type

• A modal or list will appear showing all available import types.

• Identify the file by name and code (e.g., 06 – Products).

• Click on the file type you wish to import.

3. Upload the File

• Click "Import".

• Choose the appropriate file from your local system using the file dialog.

4. System Processes the File

• Turbo will validate and import the data.

• Success or error messages will be displayed after processing.

Important Notes & Best Practices

• Use Only the Provided Templates

  • Each import type has a specific column structure.

  • Do not change column names, remove fields, or rearrange columns.

• Master File Provided

  • Alongside each import template, you’ll receive a master file explaining:

    • Each column's purpose

    • Accepted data types

    • Character limits and formatting rules

• Incorrect format = Failed import

  • Make sure your data conforms exactly to the provided structure.
