Setting sales and purchase budgets

Turbo lets you set a budget for the year, month by month, for both what you plan to sell and what you plan to buy.

  1. Go to Settings & tools → Sales Orders & Invoices → Budget.
  2. Choose the Sales or Purchases tab.
  3. Click Add Budget.
  4. Set the Year and enter a figure against each month from January to December.

Budgets can then be reported on through the Budget report in the Sales group of Analytics.

Setting these monthly rather than annually is what makes them really useful.

Finding customers you've lost

Go to Find your 'lost' customers — available on its own screen and as a report in the Customer group of Analytics.

Set Months to go back and click Refresh. Turbo finds customers who have no invoice in the recent period but did have one in the period before it — in other words, people who used to buy from you and don't any more. These are rolling periods based on today's date.

The results give you what you need to act on it straight away: Customer, Address, Phone, Mobile, Email and Balance, with a total at the bottom.
