Overview
This guide explains how to create a sales invoice, including navigation options, permission requirements, and completing customer, product, and payment details.
Permissions
Creating sales invoices is permission-based.
Depending on your user role, you may not see the option to create a sales invoice.
If the option is unavailable, contact your system administrator.
Ways to Create a Sales Invoice
There are two main ways to create a sales invoice.
Option 1: Quick Add (Home Screen)
From the Home Screen:
Click the Quick Add – Sales Invoice button.
If additional modules are enabled, this may appear as New Document.
Select Sales Invoice from the available document types (if applicable).
Option 2: Sales Menu
From anywhere in the system:
Go to Sales.
Click Sales Invoices.
Click Add Sales Invoice (bottom-right corner).
Completing a Sales Invoice
Once the Sales Invoice screen opens, complete the following steps.
Customer Details
Select the Customer.
For cash sales, you can use Bill To if you want customer details printed on the invoice.
Adding Products
Scan products or select them manually.
Products will populate the invoice line items automatically.
Payments
Depending on the sale type:
Cash Sale:
Post payment at the time of invoicing
Credit Sale:
Charge the invoice to the customer’s account
Additional Information
You can also enter:
Purchase Order (PO) number
Any additional notes or reference details required
Finalising the Invoice
Review all details for accuracy
Post or save the invoice as required

Confirm customer type (cash vs credit) before posting payment
Ensure all products and quantities are correct
Always enter PO numbers when provided by the customer
