Turbo Inventory offers the ability to integrate loyalty cards with your sales system, including for cash sales. This feature is particularly useful for exporting loyalty data in batch to third-party systems, like Spiral. Follow these steps to add a loyalty card to a cash sale.
1. Set Up Loyalty System
Before you begin, ensure your loyalty system is properly set up. You can refer to our other video for guidance on how to set up and configure your loyalty system in Turbo Inventory.
2. Add Loyalty Card to Cash Sale
If a customer is making a cash purchase and does not have an account with you, you can still add a loyalty card:
Click on the Loyalty Card Screen during the cash sale process.
Scan or Manually Enter the Loyalty Card Number:
You can scan the loyalty card using a barcode scanner.
Alternatively, if the customer does not have a physical card, you can manually enter the loyalty card number. For example, you can type "1234" as the loyalty card number.
Continue with the Sale: After entering the loyalty card, you can proceed with adding products to the sale and completing the transaction.
3. Processing the Sale
When the sale is processed, the loyalty card details will be associated with the transaction. This will be reflected in the sales report.
4. Viewing the Loyalty Card Report
After completing the cash sale, you can pull up a sales report to review the transaction and see which loyalty card was scanned.
You’ll be able to view this under cash sales in the report, along with the loyalty card number that was used for the transaction.
5. Loyalty Card Scanning vs. Account Customer Loyalty Cards
If the customer has an account with you, the loyalty card can also be linked directly to their account. This is different from scanning a loyalty card during a cash sale.
You can choose to require loyalty cards to be scanned for all transactions, even if the customer has an account, or decide to attach loyalty cards specifically to customer accounts for future use.
6. Custom Workflow for Loyalty Cards
Turbo Inventory allows flexibility in how you handle loyalty cards. You can set up a workflow that requires the loyalty card to be scanned for every sale, regardless of whether the customer has an account or not.
Conclusion
Adding a loyalty card to a cash sale in Turbo Inventory is a simple process, whether you're scanning a physical card or manually entering the loyalty card number. This integration supports a smooth transaction experience and is ideal for exporting data to third-party loyalty systems.
