In this article, we’ll show you how to assign locations to your customer equipment, allowing you to track where each piece of equipment is placed. This feature is useful for keeping track of equipment across different sites and locations within your system.
Assigning locations to your customer equipment in Turbo Inventory allows for better tracking and management. Whether you're managing vehicles, equipment, or locations within your workshop, this feature helps streamline operations and ensures you have visibility over where your equipment is placed.
1. Accessing the Vehicles List
To start, go to the Vehicles section where customer equipment is listed.
If you don’t see the Location column, you’ll need to add it to your view. To do this:
Click on the Column Chooser button.
From the options available, drag and drop the Location column into your view.
2. Understanding Default Location
By default, the Location for each piece of equipment will be set to the customer's address. If no specific location has been assigned, it will default to this address.
3. Assigning a Location to Equipment
To assign a specific location to a piece of equipment:
Click Edit on the equipment you wish to update (e.g., Vehicle 11).
In the Location drop-down box, select the appropriate location where the equipment is placed.
Click Save to confirm your changes.
Once saved, you’ll see the newly assigned location displayed next to the equipment in the Vehicle List.
4. Viewing and Editing Equipment Locations
After assigning locations, you can easily view and edit them anytime. The Location will be displayed in the Vehicle List, and you can click Edit to modify the location if necessary.
5. Renaming the Vehicle List
If you prefer, you can rename the Vehicle List to Equipment Directory or any name that better suits your business needs.
6. Filtering by Location in the Workshop
In the Workshop module, you can filter equipment by location. This is helpful when you want to service equipment from a specific location, such as Mulder Street. Simply use the filter to display only the equipment from that location and add it to the sale or service.
7. Setting Up Delivery Locations in the CRM Module
Within the CRM Module, you can also manage different delivery locations for your customers. You can set up and view these locations under the customer records.
