1. Accessing the Workshop Kanban Screen

To access the Workshop Kanban screen, follow these steps:

  • Click on Workshop in the main navigation.

  • Select Kanban Board from the available options.

2. Key Features and Functionalities

The Workshop Kanban Board offers a variety of features that allow for better management and tracking of tasks. Here’s a closer look at the functionalities available:

  • Filter by Assigned Employees:

    • You can now filter tasks by the employee assigned to them. This is helpful for tracking what specific team members are working on and ensuring that all tasks are accounted for.

  • View Equipment and Service History:

    • Equipment items are displayed in blue on the Kanban Board. By clicking on any equipment, you can easily view its full service history, giving you quick access to past work and maintenance records.

  • Custom Statuses:

    • The Kanban Board now includes support for custom statuses, allowing you to tailor your workflow to better suit your needs. This makes managing the workshop more flexible and adaptable.

  • Workshop Details:

    • When you click on View for a task, you are presented with a detailed view of the workshop information, such as customer signatures and other relevant details, instead of being directed straight to the edit screen.

3. Permissions for Changing Customer Status

  • There is a user permission that governs the ability to change customer statuses. This permission is enforced on the Kanban Board.

  • If you have the appropriate permission, you can easily change the status of tasks by simply dragging and dropping them to a new status column.

4. Part Search Functionality

  • A new part search feature is available directly on the Kanban Board. This enables you to see the location of parts within the workshop, including the specific stock location.

  • If parts have been assigned to a location other than the default one, this information is also displayed on the board.

5. Improved User Experience

  • The Workshop Kanban Board is now more detailed and offers more information to help manage tasks and equipment effectively. These features provide greater visibility into the workshop’s operations, helping you to keep track of progress and improve efficiency.
