Release: Custom Statement Templates
Focus: Enabling complete self-service control over Customer Statements and Statement Invoices

? Overview

With this latest release, users now have full control over the design and layout of customer statements. You can now create and manage both:

  • Standard Customer Statements

  • Statement Invoices

All customization is handled via the inbuilt Report Designer, eliminating the need to rely on support for layout changes.

⚙️ Enabling Custom Statement Templates

Step 1: Navigate to Settings

  • Go to Settings & Tools

  • Scroll down to Statement Customization

Step 2: Enable Custom Templates

  • Tick the checkbox for "Use the custom statement template"

  • Note: When this is enabled, several older settings become inactive, as they were tied to the legacy hardcoded layout.

  • Click “Save Changes”

? Accessing the Report Designer

Step 1: Open Report Designer

  • From the main menu, open the Report Designer

  • Search for “statement”

Step 2: Available Templates

You will find two starting templates:

  • Customer Statement Default – for standard monthly or transactional statements

  • Customer Statement Invoice Default – for invoice-focused statement formats

These serve as your base layouts and can be modified as needed.

? What You Can Customize

  • Text fields (labels, headers, messages)

  • Table layouts and data columns

  • Company branding and design

  • Conditional logic and field visibility

  • Field functions (e.g., totals, due dates, notes)

➡️ Everything on the statement is modifiable using drag-and-drop and field-level editing.

? Using the New Layouts

From the Customer List:

  • Go to Customers > Customer List

  • Click on Print All Statements or select an individual customer

  • Within the customer view:

    • Click Print Statement to preview and print using the new layout

    • Click Email Statement to choose whether to send:

      • Standard Statement, or

      • Statement Invoice — both use your newly customized layout

✅ Benefits of This Update

  • 100% user-controlled customization – no need to contact support

  • Faster turnaround on changes

  • Professional and branded documentation for customers

  • Alignment with company-specific processes and design preferences
