Creating and running a project

Created by Turbo Support, Modified on Thu, 10 Sep at 3:29 PM by David Costello

A project in Turbo is the job that everything else attaches to — the materials, the purchase orders, the labour, the quality assurance (QA) checks, the shipments and the invoices.

The project list

Go to Projects. Three tabs sort your jobs by where they are: Active, Invoiced and Complete.

The list shows Project, Customer, Customer PO, Reference, Status, Due Date, whether it's Scheduled, the Quote value, whether Site Work is required, who it's Assigned To, and who's Clocked On right now.

Across the top: Imports, Kanban, Schedule and Quality Assurance.

Scheduling

Set Scheduled to Yes and give a From and To date. The project record then shows a banner confirming it e.g. — "The project has been scheduled for 30/10/2025 to 06/11/2025" — and the job appears on the schedule. See Scheduling projects.

Custom properties

The Properties tab holds your own fields, each with a Name, Value and Comment. The demo shows a free-text custom question and a custom dropdown, so you can capture whatever your trade needs against every job and keep the answers consistent.

Your own properties are defined under Apps → Projects → Manage, on the Properties tab — which sits alongside Job Types and FE Codes on the same screen.

Other actions on the record

Email the project, Add Note, Add Document, View clocked time, Shipments Invoices, Import Parts for Order and Free Entry.
