Overview
This guide explains how to post a Goods Receipt, including how to access the Goods Receipt screen, complete required fields, add products, and post stock into the system.
Ways to Access Goods Receipts
There are two main ways to post a Goods Receipt.
Option 1: Book Stock In (Home Screen)
From the Home Screen, click Book Stock In.
Option 2: Purchasing Menu
From anywhere in the system:
Go to Purchasing.
Click Goods Receipts.
In the bottom-right corner, click Book Stock In.
Creating a Goods Receipt
Once the Goods Receipt screen opens, complete the following steps.
Supplier Details
Select the Supplier.
Required Fields
Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory.
The Goods Receipt cannot be posted until all required fields are completed.
Additional Information
You can also complete optional and contextual details such as:
Project (if required)
Supplier Invoice Number
User Defined Fields
Foreign Currency Details (including exchange rate, if applicable)
Adding Products
Products can be added by:
Searching and manually selecting products, or
Scanning products using an integrated barcode scanner
For each product, ensure the received quantity is entered correctly.
Posting the Goods Receipt
Once all products and quantities have been added:
Review the Goods Receipt details.
Click Save.
This will post the Goods Receipt and update stock levels accordingly.

Always confirm quantities before saving
Enter supplier invoice numbers for traceability
Use barcode scanning to reduce errors
Ensure foreign currency details are correct when applicable
