Topic: Multi-number goods receipt via mobile — batch, serial, and heat tracking
? Overview
This guide builds on our cloud-based receiving tutorial by showing you how to receive multiple tracking numbers — whether batch, serial, or heat numbers — using the mobile app. This is especially useful for warehouse teams using barcode scanners and mobile devices on the go.
Whether you're creating a goods receipt from scratch or working against an existing purchase order (PO), the mobile interface supports fast multi-scanning and editing.
? Option 1: Manual Goods Receipt (No Purchase Order)
1. Navigate to Receive Menu
Open the Receive menu.
Select Goods Receipts (if you don’t have a PO).
2. Select a Supplier and Add Items
Choose the appropriate supplier.
Tap “Add Items”.
Select or add your batch-tracked product.
3. Enter or Scan Batch Numbers
You can manually type batch numbers or multi-scan using your device.
Example: Scan
6666
,7777
, and adjust quantities as needed (e.g. 25 units for batch6666
).
4. Adjust Quantities (if necessary)
Tap a scanned batch to update quantity.
For serial numbers, quantities default to one per scan.
5. Finalize
Tap “Save” to record the scanned items.
Once complete, tap “Finish & Sync” to submit the goods receipt.
? Option 2: Receipt Against a Purchase Order
1. Select Purchase Order Receipt
From the mobile app, go to Receive > Purchase Order Receipt.
Choose the relevant supplier and find the PO (e.g. PO #107).
2. Open the Line Item
Scroll to the desired product line (even if it’s already partially received).
Tap the item to access the multi-scan interface.
3. Multi-Scan or Manual Entry
Scan additional tracking numbers (batch, serial, or heat).
Example: Continue from a previous session by adding more scanned codes.
4. Edit or Clear Entries (if needed)
Tap individual entries to adjust.
Clear the screen if you want to restart.
5. Save and Complete
Tap “Save” to finalize the receipt line.
Hit “Finish” to post the updated goods receipt.
? Supported Tracking Methods
Batch Numbers – Grouped quantities with traceability.
Serial Numbers – Unique unit tracking.
Heat Numbers – Typically used in metal and industrial products.
✅ All tracking methods are fully supported with the same workflow.
? Pro Tip
Using the mobile app to multi-scan is especially efficient for serial number tracking, where each unit must be uniquely identified — simply scan and tap your way through, no manual input needed.
