The Picking Module in Turbo Inventory allows you to efficiently pick sales orders within your warehouse, whether you're using the cloud-based module or the mobile app. This guide provides an overview of how to pick sales orders, assign pickers, and generate dispatches.

1. Accessing the Picking Module

To begin, ensure that a sales order has already been created. If you need help creating sales orders, you can refer to our other support videos.

  1. Navigate to Warehouse in the main menu.

  2. Select Picking Lists from the dropdown.

2. Viewing Your Picking List

Your picking list will provide a visual overview of all sales orders, allowing you to easily manage and track the picking process.

  • The list shows whether items are in stock or not.

  • You can filter the list by delivery date, and all columns are available for sorting and filtering the data to suit your needs.

  • You can also see the assigned picker and the current status of the sales orders (e.g., whether the order has already been picked).

3. Assigning Pickers to Sales Orders

Depending on your system settings, you can assign pickers to specific sales orders.

  • If your settings allow free picking, anyone can pick any sales order.

  • Alternatively, you can assign specific sales orders to individual pickers.

To assign a picker:

  1. Select the orders you wish to assign.

  2. Click Assign Picker.

  3. Choose the picker from the list and hit Assign.

In the example here, you will see the assigned picker column, which indicates which picker is responsible for each sales order.

4. Picking a Sales Order

Once an order is assigned, follow these steps to pick it:

  1. Click on the Pick button next to the sales order you wish to pick.

  2. You will see the quantity of the item to be picked. You can either type in the quantity or tick the box to mark it as picked.

  3. If you have a picture of the product, you can click on it to get a larger view to help confirm you are picking the correct item.

  4. You can also update the delivery date, specify who will be dispatching the order, and add any necessary delivery notes.

5. Creating the Dispatch

Once the items are picked, you can create the delivery and dispatch:

  1. After confirming the picked items, click Create Delivery.

  2. This will automatically create the delivery, generate any required documentation, and mark the order as dispatched.

  3. The sales order will now be moved to the dispatched status.

6. Using the Cloud and Mobile App for Picking

  • You can use both the cloud-based module and the mobile app to pick sales orders. The process is very similar across both platforms, providing flexibility for your team to pick orders in the warehouse or on the go.

Conclusion

The Picking Module in Turbo Inventory helps streamline the process of fulfilling sales orders, whether you're working in the warehouse or out in the field. By assigning pickers, tracking the picking process, and creating dispatches, you can ensure your orders are processed and shipped efficiently.
