Scheduling projects: timeline and Kanban

Scheduling a job

On the project, set Scheduled to Yes and give a From and To date. The record confirms it with a banner, and the job appears on the schedule.

The timeline

Go to Projects → Schedule (or Scheduled Projects). Jobs are laid out on a timeline showing Subject, Start Date and End Date, with week bands across the top and days beneath, so overlapping jobs and gaps are visible at a glance.

Use Schedule Project to place a job on the timeline.

List and Kanban views

The same screen offers List and Kanban views. Kanban is also available directly from the project list, and moves jobs through your statuses as cards — useful for a morning stand-up where the timeline matters less than what's stuck.

Why this matters

Being able to see all your live jobs on one timeline — while also holding their materials, purchase orders, labour and invoices is what lets you answer "can we take this on?" rather than only "how did that one go?"
