0:00 Hey guys, how are you getting on? In this video I'm just going to go over how to change sequence numbers in Turbo Inventory.
0:07 So, sequence numbers is any document that can be created in Turbo Inventory. Start with, you go to settings and tools, scroll down and you will see sequence numbers under system templates.
0:20 When you click into that, you'll get all the sequence numbers set up for each location. So right now we've, we've just, we've filtered this down just to Turbo Inventory location.
0:35 So each location gets their own set of sequence numbers. That way you can have different prefixes and different next number groups in every location as required.
0:47 What we're going to do here is we're going to click edit on our quote, and we're going to change the prefix on it.
0:53 So we're going to, because it's 2025 now, we're going to change the group prefix to Q25 dash. Click edit on that.
1:01 I can just click in here and hit 25. So now every quote I create from now on will have Q25 dash on it, and it will continue on the next number.
1:10 I have no need to change the next number. I want to see the year 25 in the prefix. Of course, with Turbo, there's no need for you to, to track quotes that way, as the created date will be tracked on them, and all the reporting will show you only quotes created in 2025 are doing it, but preferences for
1:29 certain clients can be that they prefer to have the year in the prefix, so for goods in, for purchase orders, for sales invoices, supplier invoices, so at a glance, they can see it without having to check any other dates.
1:44 It's very nice too, as well, for filtering down, because I can simply filter down Q25 on my list without having to do date filters.
1:55 And by that, what I mean is, if we come down here to our quotes, I would simply be able to type in.
2:00 In my number here, Q25, and it would show me all quotes with Q25 on it, so here, we're just all quotes with Q.
2:09 And it's a very nice filter, instead of having to go in and click on our date and click between, and then select an in-between date filter.
2:18 It can become very handy if required. Thanks guys.
