System Capabilities

  • Supports picking Batch Numbers, Serial Numbers, and Heat Numbers.

  • Multiple picking methods: Manual entry or Barcode Scanning.

  • Single line entry: Add one line for multiple quantities; no need to add multiple lines.

Setup

For demonstration:

  • Batch Number 1

  • Serial Number 1

  • Heat Number 1

(All associated with the same product)

Note: The process is identical regardless of number type.

Step-by-Step Process

1. Start Picking

  • Open the Sales Order in Turbo.

  • Click on the Batch Number field.

2. Select or Enter Batch Numbers

  • List Prompt: The system will display all available batch/serial/heat numbers.

  • Free Entry: Alternatively, scan the barcode if free entry is enabled.

3. Pick Quantities

  • Choose the number type (Batch, Serial, or Heat).

  • Enter the quantity manually or scan as per settings.

  • Example:

    • Pick 5 units against Batch Number.

    • Pick 5 units against Serial Number.

    • Pick 5 units against Heat Number.

4. Confirm Picks

  • After selecting numbers and quantities, click Confirm.

  • Partial Pick or Fully Pick as per requirement.

Printing and Reviewing

  • Navigate back to the cloud-based side of Turbo.

  • Print out the sales order summary.

  • Review the document to confirm that multiple batch, serial, or heat numbers are assigned correctly to the single product.

Best Practices

  • Use single sales order line for multiple serial/batch/heat numbers.

  • Use barcode scanning for speed when possible.

  • Manual quantity entry can be enabled for ease during testing or training.

Conclusion

Turbo's flexible picking system simplifies the handling of multiple batch, serial, or heat numbers for the same product. This process saves time, reduces errors, and enhances warehouse efficiency.
