Receiving Stock against a Purchase Order using the Mobile App

Overview

This guide explains how to receive stock with a purchase order using the Turbo Inventory mobile app. This process requires an active internet connection, as it is an online-only module.

Step 1: Open the App and Navigate to the Receive Menu

Open the Turbo Inventory app on your tablet. Depending on your administrative permissions, your main menu layout may vary.

• Tap on Receive.

Step 2: Choose "Receive with Purchase Order"

Select the option Receive with Purchase Order.

Note: You must have an active internet connection to use this feature.

Step 3: Select the Supplier

From the supplier list, choose the appropriate supplier.
You will now see a list of purchase orders that are pending receipt.

• Purchase orders are displayed from oldest to newest.

If you realize that the item you're receiving isn't linked to a purchase order, you can tap Receive Without a Purchase Order to switch modes.

Step 4: Select a Purchase Order

Tap on the relevant purchase order (e.g., the oldest one listed).

• The system will show the items and expected quantities (e.g., 46 units of a drill bit).

• You can also choose whether or not to print labels after receiving.

Step 5: Enter Receiving Details

• Enter the invoice number (if available) and the receipt date.

• Tap on an item to enter the quantity received (e.g., received 20 of 46).

• Tap Save to confirm the quantity.

Optional Actions:

• Scan items using the built-in camera or a connected barcode scanner.

• Use the plus (+) or minus (-) buttons to adjust the quantity.

• If permitted, adjust the cost of items during receiving.

Step 6: Complete and Sync

Once all items have been entered:

• Tap Finish and Sync to upload the received stock to Turbo Inventory.

The inventory will be updated live.
