In this guide, we will show you how to create a service for an on-hire product directly from the Turbo Inventory mobile app. This is particularly useful when you're on the road and need to handle an emergency service request without waiting for the office to set it up.
1. Access the Customer Information
Open the Turbo Inventory mobile app and go to the Customers section.
Use the search function to find the customer who has the on-hire product.
Once you've selected the customer, click on Hires to view all the products currently on hire to that customer.
2. Select the Product
Browse through the list of on-hire products and select the product you need to service.
3. View Location Information
You’ll see the location of the product displayed. The location is shown as a single comma, but this will provide the longitude and latitude of the product’s location when viewed properly.
4. Create a Work Card
After selecting the product, you’ll be prompted to create a work card for the service request.
Confirm that you want to create the work card by clicking Yes. This will generate a work card associated with the on-hire product.
5. Record Service Details
Once the work card is created, you can begin adding the necessary details for the service. This allows you to track the repair or service work performed on the on-hire product.
6. Sync Back to Workshop
After completing the work on the mobile app, the service details will sync back to the workshop management system, just as if the work card had been generated by the office.
The work card will be assigned to the appropriate staff for follow-up.
Conclusion
Creating a service for an on-hire product using the Turbo Inventory mobile app allows you to manage repairs or services efficiently while on the go. This feature ensures that service records are automatically updated and synced with your workshop system, making it easier to manage on-hire products regardless of your location.
